I’m honored to be working with the Portland Cello Project performing two of my own new unreleased songs, “The First Sign Of Spring” and “Palm Wine Drunkard.” It has been a thrill to collaborate with Douglas Jenkins, the Maestro of the PCP, in arranging my songs for large ensembles including about 8 cellos!

On these nights I’ll also be joining them in performing songs from the newly released Beck Song Reader. Beck, in partnership with McSweeney’s, has put out 20 new songs in sheet music form only. PCP is performing All the songs over a two day period at the Aladdin Theater in Portland, OR. Its an incredible band with lots of fantastic guest singers.
Doug has been recording all those Beck songs with these large ensembles–So far I’ve sung on 4 of them.

The Beck Song Reader is over the top brilliant. Beck’s bringing it all back home for us. I’m so impressed and it feels strange to say, but I am so grateful to him for being such a genius.
